Syptoms

Symptoms of LNS are both phisical and mental. Some physical sypmtoms include kidney stones, uncontrolable movement, muscle weakness, swolen joints and orange crystals in the urine due to build up of uric acid. In addition, most LNS sufferes' backs are too weak to support their bodies and most never walk.

Neurologically LNS can cause mental retardation and self inflicted mutilation such as constant biting of the lips or fingers.

Some sypmtoms of other diseases can easily be confused with LNS, and therefore the appropriate lab tests should be done.
